CHILDHOOD, FATE & THE STARRY SKIES

The Association of Professional Astrologers International requests the pleasure of your company at their AGM and Open Day to be held on:

SATURDAY 17 APRIL

Essex Unitarian Church

112 Palace Gardens Terrace, Notting Hill Gate, London,  W8 4RT.

The day starts with coffee at 10.45am with the AGM starting promptly at 11am.

Fee: £25 including buffet lunch (including vegetarian options) & refreshments

As always this is a wonderful opportunity to meet old friends and network with peers but this year we have decided to try something a little different – a new venue, buffet lunch, lowered costs  and  three  speakers!   Not to be missed!

Deike Begg:   Childhood Matters

We will look at major planetary constellations that are indicators to the kind of environment a child enters at birth, and the ensuing likely consequences that might  dominate a person’s unconscious (or perhaps not so unconscious) drives. We will also look at how best to address an issue of this kind when we see it on a client’s chart.

Deike Begg  D.F.Astrol.S., has been working with astrology since 1972. She’s an author of several books, a graduate of the Psychosynthesis and Education Trust and the Arcane School. She’s had a Jungian Training Analysis and works as both astrologer and psychotherapist in Battersea, London.

Mike Harding:  Fate & Will in the Birth Chart: What would Nietzsche have said?

Nietzsche’s ideas radically impacted on both philosophy and psychology, influencing Freud, Jung and Adler, and laying the ground work for the ‘post-modern’ society we all inhabit with his challenge to the concept of inviolable Truth.  What do we hold to be true, and how might an astrologer respond to his thoughts when interpreting the birth chart?

Mike Harding is an existential psychotherapist and consulting astrologer.  He has chaired the Astrological Association, the APAI and the Society for Existential Analysis, and was for many years on the Council of the FAS.   In 1987 he was awarded first prize in the A.A’s  Truth of Astrology competition.
